RENOVATION OF A RUSTIC IN FRANCE

The following rustic is located in Bona town. It's twenty-three Kilometres to the east of Nevers (A relatively big town) and in the region of Burgundy, in the middle of France.

The following rustic project is used as a laboratory working with an adjoining space for the night. The main task is to rebuild the facade facing south, now collapsed.

My idea is to create a wooden square, and covered with semitransparent polycarbonate panels double layer. Everything to facilitate the entry of the light and put in relation the inside with the outside garden. Furthermore, the intervention is relatively cheap.

The interior space remains open, and the sleeping area is located above a mezzanine while the underside I added a bathroom.

Here are some sketches on my project idea about the new grandstand that overlooks the river.

These sketches I realized they just did the site visit. 

The concept for the new steps is inspired by the townhouse of the neighborhood where the stadium is located.

EXTENSION HOUSE

This time I used the passive house designed  previously  view to use in part as an extension of an existing building. (link: http://think-sketch-arch.blogspot.it/2013/10/passive-house.html)

The eco design principles remain the same: photovoltaics, fireplace outdoor / indoor biomass, rainwater harvesting and a natural swimming pool. In addition to building systems with ecological materials and optimal shape and orientation.

RESIDENCES OF CONTAINER

What I propose is a large residential complex consists of two main parts: a steel structure and container. The building is entirely made ​​up of connections to dry, so completely disassembled and recycled. 

The containers are raised to form a covered area on the ground floor for cars and bicycles. 

WOODEN HOUSE

The following project is hypothesized in what is now a single property which is located in a building.

The plot of land on which the house is situated is partly occupied by a garden and in part by a vegetable garden. The project involves the distribution of the property into two different parts. The portion of land to the west of the building is sufficient to accommodate another unit and is then made ​​independent, with a new pedestrian access and the driveway remains instead common in the existing building.

On the new property I designed this building type presented below, partly covered with wood, characterized by a classic shape accentuated and made so modern. The unit is able to accommodate a family of 3 or 4 people.

This is just one of several projects designed for this lot. In the next post will explain other alternatives.

MODERN RUSTIC

The images represent a design solution to what I have called a modern rustic. This is not a building restoration but a new building from which the design modern materials and forms evoke the rustic style. The building is designed to accomodate a family that can also put some rooms available for functions accomodation or B&B.

PASSIVE HOUSE

Il tentativo è quello di proporre una casa passiva, quindi con sistemi che tengano conto per la parte di riscaldamento delle fonti passive di calore, come la radiazione solare, le persone e l'inerzia termica dell'edificio. Dal punto di vista tecnologico sono importanti: l'assenza di ponti termici, l'isolamento termico e la ventilazione.

La casa passiva che solitamente presenta caratteristiche non proprio adatte al nostro clima temperato, è stata adattata progettando le aperture dei locali esposti a sud-ovest con delle ampie gronde di copertura in modo da schermare le radiazioni solari nei periodi estivi.

Per quanto riguarda il tema progettuale ho cercato di dare un'espressione contemporanea alla casa, distinguendola in tre volumi con rispettive funzioni: zona giorno con ampia terrazza coperta, la cui forma richiama i volumi tradizionali a falda; un volume centrale a "torre" che corrisponde alla zona di passaggio del vano scala; ed infine un volume prismatico moderno che ospita l'autorimessa e la cantina seminterrati e al piano superiore la zona notte.

Nonostante stia cercando di sforzarmi a schizzare le idee su fogli bianchi A4, non riesco a fare meno di pasticciare il taccuino (adibito ad altro uso). Ecco cosa può succedere quando si è colpiti da un'improvvisa ispirazione progettuale disegnando sulla prima cosa reperibile: in questo caso appunto il taccuino.

The following country is situated in the village of Faggeto Lario Palanzo in the province of Como (Italy).

The building is small, the space inside is 60 square meters on two floors, 30 mq on the ground floor and 30 mq on the first floor.
